Isle of Grain Power Station Refurbishment

The fit out at the Isle of Grain Power Station contract was won by RAP working with a main contractor.  The full works involved installation of control units, vast electrical works alongwith large electric generators in the GIS area.

RAP encased steel columns with specialist fire rated material working at high levels.
During the stages of construction cover plates were installed to floor troughs, blockwork was installed to divide office areas from the main equipment area. The flooring received specialist paint finish providing dust free area protection.

The whole site was under control of Areve and RAP’s own labour were under their own strict Health & Safety regulations, incorporating toolbox talks and provision of PPE.
